Lawley moves to expand services.

Oct. 30--Lawley Service Insurance Group has purchased a small third-party account administration service from accounting firm Freed Maxick & Battaglia to expand its benefits options.

The Buffalo-based insurance agency will now offer its customer base of more than 1,000 firms the ability to add flexible spending accounts or health reimbursement accounts.

In the past, it offered such accounts through independent administrators. However, "it's another service that we can provide our clients," said Lawley Benefits partner Brian Murphy. "Why should we send it to someone else when we can keep it in-house and provide a higher …
