Thomas Kurrer, an 18-year veteran of Steinway, has been named president of Steinway & Sons worldwide. He will succeed Bruce Stevens, who is retiring after 22 years with the company.
Kurrer, who is currently head of Steinway's overseas operations, joined Steinway as managing director of Steinway Germany and undertook responsibility for Steinway & Sons' operations outside the Americas. He will also serve on the company's board of directors.
