Thanks largely to its 6-month-old "Strategies" section, The Denver Business Journal and its publisher have been named the nation's 1995 Media Advocate of the Year for small business.
The U.S. Small Business Administration made the announcement this week, as it laid out plans for Small Business Week beginning April 30.
The Business Journal is believed to be the only media outlet from Colorado to have ever been selected for the national honor, an SBA spokeswoman said. Last year's Media Advocate was Jane Applegate, the nationally syndicated columnist who writes about small business.
