Things were even tighter at the top of the points chart of the North American Ferrari Challenge as the series visited California Speedway on its last stop before the World Finals later this month. Four points separated Lawrence Stroll from runner-up Mike Zoi before the exotic spec-racer F430s took to the 21-turn (including part of the 14-degree banked oval), 2.8-mile road course for two 45-minute races.
The Grand-Am-sanctioned series is strictly for amateur drivers, although Stroll does own the Mont-Tremblant racetrack. Not that it proved to be any advantage, as both he and Floridian Zoi accrued equal points in the two races held there before Fontana.
