The Ohio Division of Securities has backtracked on its intent to discipline Dublin entrepreneur Victor Steinfels and two of his companies for alleged violations of the Ohio Securities Act.

The division had accused Steinfels, his Vesmont Management Group Inc. and Vesmont Partners Ltd. of selling unregistered securities to two Ohio residents in 1992 and 1993. The division backed off that allegation last week after learning the securities were registered after all.

Still in place is a charge that Steinfels, best known for developing the Teammug football helmet beverage mug, and his Vesmont Partners Ltd. made false representations to Blacklick investor Steven A. Miller …
