Oct. 2--Two Chesterfield police officers, two Chesterfield firefighters and 10 Richmond police officers received Valor Awards this morning for their roles in helping save lives or evacuate residents in building fires this year.

Two local residents were also awarded Citizens Valor Awards for rescuing a woman from a burning car.

The awards were presented by the Retail Merchants Association and the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce at the Richmond Convention Center.
