Sep. 26--One suspect is in jail and another being sought by police after a bank robbery Tuesday that resulted in two schools being put on lockdown.

The bank robbery took place in the late afternoon hours, after school dismissal, in southeast Charlotte.

Police say the suspect arrested in the case was Leon Collins, 47. He is charged with common law robbery, felony fleeing to avoid police, and resisting a public officer.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and the FBI, one or two suspects entered the SunTrust Bank in the 1900 block of Galleria Boulevard and robbed the place. The bank is in the Galleria shopping…
