Sep. 26--Police locked down two schools in east Charlotte while they searched for a man they believe robbed a SunTrust Bank.

They ultimately charged Leon Collins, 47, with fleeing to elude police, resisting a public officer and common law robbery. They believe he robbed the bank, which is on Galleria Boulevard in east Charlotte. They didn't have details on the robbery.

Officers locked down Greenway Park Elementary and East Mecklenburg High for about 10 minutes while they searched for the suspect. Both schools had dismissed for the day, but some students were still at…
