Sep. 25--The Carolinas Caravan carrying some Charlotte Bobcats comes to town on Wednesday.

As part of a six-city tour, the caravan will stop at N.B. Mills Elementary in Statesville at 12:45 p.m., then travel to Lake Norman YMCA in Cornelius.

The Lake Norman visit will feature guard Matt Carroll, assistant coach and former Duke player Jeff Capel, Rufus Lynx the mascot and The Lady Cats dancers.

The Bobcats started the caravan in 2004 as a way to reach fans outside of Charlotte. A trip to Raleigh on Thursday will mark…
