Sep. 24--Since attorney Lisa Bennett started advocating for Richmond's special-education students in 2002, she's represented 450 children.
Her work with JustChildren, a statewide Legal Aid Justice Center program, has taken her from schools to the courtroom to fight for students' rights.
This week, JustChildren and Richmond schools entered a broad agreement aimed at improving services for all special-education students who are disciplined for violating the student code of conduct in school.
