Sep. 24--The Mooresville town board will consider tonight giving the Mooresville Graded School District $53,000 to make Mooresville High wireless.

About half the money would come from ABC revenues from local alcohol sales and half from the town's general fund.

Commissioner Chris Carney said he's opposed to this "gift" to the school district because it won't benefit all residents.

Half the town's children attend the Iredell-Statesville Schools district, he said.

When the town partners with either district on recreation amenities it benefits all taxypayers, he said. Helping make Mooresville High School…
