Sep. 22--Northside High School will reopen Monday, according to the Roanoke County school system.

County officials closed the school Thursday and Friday after a worker on Wednesday found some asbestos while doing demolition work in the school's old library.

The school system halted work on the school, closed off the building and canceled classes while a specially licensed contractor conducted air quality tests.

On Friday, test results showed that there was no health risk to students and staff, school spokesman Chuck Lionberger said.
