Sep. 21--Maybe this is the start of a win streak for Garinger High School's football program.
Garinger, with help from animal experts, has beaten the geese.
That's the news this morning from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, who have worked for more than a week to find a humane -- yet decisive -- way to chase geese off the Garinger High School football field, where they had set up a community in recent weeks.
The geese and their droppings forced school officials to move Garinger's scheduled home football game last Friday to North Mecklenburg High.
