Sep. 19--Catawba County will waive trash drop-off fees and provide special trash bags for people participating in Litter Sweep Weeks Sept. 15-29.

Special orange-and-blue bags can be picked up at the county Utilities and Engineering office at the Government Center in Newton; at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Office on U.S. 321 Business in Newton, the N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance office on Prison Camp Road south of Newton and at Garbage Disposal Service on Section House Road in Hickory.
