Lake Taylor High School spent more than $3,000 to make the trip to Northern Virginia to play perennial power C.D. Hylton in a regular-season game.
But after watching Lake Taylor beat the Bulldogs 24-17 in double overtime, the administration will tell you it was money well spent.
The Titans, the first South Hampton Roads team in more than 20 years to play a regular-season game outside the area, came from 14 points behind in a driving rain to upset Hylton.
