Sep. 15--Four more students in Charlotte area schools were diagnosed Friday with the drug-resistant staph infection MRSA, including the first confirmed case in Cabarrus County.
Cabarrus school leaders said doctors are also treating eight other potential cases there.
In Charlotte-Mecklenburg, a staff member at Allenbrook Elementary and students at Park Road Montessori and West Charlotte High School were diagnosed. That brings the CMS total to 10 this school year.
In both counties, school officials contacted parents.
