Sep. 13--A former Longwood Senior High School teacher has been charged with engaging in sexual conduct with a 16-year-old student, Suffolk police announced yesterday.

Erwin Faralan, 34, taught math at the high school for 4 1/2 years until he resigned in 2005. A year later, one of his students told police she and Faralan had met outside school and he had touched her inappropriately.

Faralan left Long Island and found employment at a high school in the Southern California community of Harbor City, police said. After a nearly yearlong investigation, in which detectives say they corroborated the girl's allegations, he was…
