Sep. 12--Vancouver's fledgling food cooperative and Washington State University Clark County Extension are teaming up to host a harvest dinner Sept. 21, featuring local ingredients fresh from the farm, prepared and presented by local chefs.
The chefs, Bill Harris of Your Event and Catering and Anna Petruolo of A Dinner Together, will join forces at 6 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church to put on the dinner. Tickets are $50 to support the co-op, which is raising $1 million to open a store.
Jack Graves, chief cultural officer of Holland Inc., the founder of Burgerville, will speak on buying locally.
