Clarkston scores first, runs away from Rochester; Wolves take over top of division.

Sep. 12--The Clarkston boys soccer team earned a 3-1 victory over host Rochester on Tuesday night, and with it, first place in the Oakland Activities Association's top division.

"It's a 'W' in the OAA," Clarkston coach Adam Bican said. "And they are hard to come by."

Clarkston (7-2-1, 3-1-1 OAA) scored first, less than three minutes in. Sliding feet first, forward Oliver Kupe beat Rochester goalie Chris Stewart to a short pass from teammate James McCarty and redirected a roller into the goal.

The Wolves cushioned their lead when Alec Pappas scored in the 20th minute, and Kavon Khani added insurance halfway through the …
