Sep. 9--Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools officials say their estimates of student enrollment this year were just that -- estimates -- and that there could be some surprises when the final numbers are in.
Those enrollment numbers are determined on the 10th day of the school year, which will be Monday.
But there already are some indications of surprises, including:
--West Mecklenburg High School might have more students than expected.
--Myers Park High might be the system's biggest school this year, rather than Hopewell High, as expected.
