Sep. 9--Most Lake Norman public schools met both expected growth and high growth goals on the state's ABC ratings for the 2006-07 school year.
The ratings measure student performance on state tests and on the federal Adequate Yearly Progress goals. The state awards bonuses to teachers at schools that reach those targets.
In Iredell-Statesville Schools, 30 out of 34 schools met or exceeded the state goals, compared to 28 out of 35 last year.
Lake Norman and Woodland Heights elementaries and Brawley and Lakeshore middle schools were named Honor Schools of Excellence. The designation is given to schools where at least 90…
