Thanks to a good friend from Mercedes-Benz, I was able to take part in this week of automotive passion.
The McCall Motorworks Revival on Wednesday kicks things off. Most of the social events are based around cars, but McCall decided some time ago that those who enjoy beautiful cars would also enjoy seeing some airplanes. (This relates to the car-people-like-watches-planes-boats-and-most-other-mechanical-things discussion.)
Sure, there are great people milling around, but what really makes this party are the engines and the bodies, those that are meant to hug the road and those with wings that split clouds at unfathomable speeds. We spend the night navigating through a place filled with everything from new Bugattis to '32 Fords, with late-model jets thrown in for good measure.
