Sep. 5--Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has posted boundary proposals for five new elementary and two new middle schools opening in the north, northwest and northeast parts of Mecklenburg County in the coming two years.

CMS may also look at shifting the southeastern tip of the Eastover Elementary zone to Cotswold Elementary, to relieve crowding at smaller Eastover.

On Thursday CMS plans to post a schedule of public meetings to discuss the boundary plans. Changes would not take place until the 2008-09 or 2009-10 school years.…
