Sep. 5--Hamilton County Board of Education members observed problems such as leaky roofs and broken dishwashers at seven schools across the county Tuesday to help them decide which facilities need attention and money next.
Most said every building they toured could stand to be replaced.
"You could take 15 or 20 schools, throw them in a hat and pull out three names, and you wouldn't go wrong in rebuilding them," said Chester Bankston, who represents the Ooltewah area and was one of the four board members on the tour. "It's just a matter of money."
