Sep. 5--The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce announced its support for the $516 million school bond package proposed for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
Last month, the organization's board of directors, which represents about 1,200 Lake Norman area business members, voted unanimously to endorse the proposed school bond referendum in November.
If approved, the bonds would provide roughly $179 million to help pay for new school construction and renovations at schools in Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson.
