BEVERAGE COOLERS

For people on the go, from tailgaters to picnickers to road warriors, portable coolers are a must-have. Coolers vary in size and shape. Some require ice, while others need an energy source.

The first beverage cooler was built in 1934 by craftsmen at a Middle Amana, Iowa, woolen mill. The cooler was designed at the behest of an Iowa City businessman.
