Aug. 28--At least the Grizzlies will finish the season above .500 for the first time since 1999.
Matthew Brown homered twice and drove in four runs as the Salt Lake Bees blanked visiting Fresno 8-0 in Pacific Coast League action Monday.
With seven games remaining, the Grizzlies' playoff hopes have all but died. Fresno (72-65) trails Southern Division leader Sacramento by six games. The Grizzlies haven't finished with a winning record since 1999, when they went 73-69.
Brown connected for two-run shots in the fourth and sixth innings. He's batting .359 with five homers, 10 RBIs and nine runs scored in his past 10 games.
Brandon Wood led off the second with his team-leading 21st homer for the Bees.
