Aug. 28--Michael Vick will play again in the NFL. That's one thing we learned Monday.
I know what you're thinking: Didn't the NFL just slap Vick with an "indefinite suspension"? Didn't the league ban him until further notice for crimes he committed with his ill-advised 2001 start-up business, Bad Newz Kennels?
Well, yes. But remember, the "indefinite" suspension for Vick's dogfighting crimes can disappear whenever Commissioner Roger Goodell decrees. And his league once allowed a drunken driver who killed a woman to serve a mere eight-game suspension.
Vick did disgusting stuff. But he killed no humans. Thus, if he takes the proper steps of remorse and redemption after his prison term, he will have to be un-suspended. Otherwise, the league will face certain legal action.
