Giuliani and Romney are scrapping over who has the toughest record on illegal immigration. Sen. Mel Martinez, chairman of the RNC, stepped in to say that neither candidate was being a "leader" the way John McCain is: "leadership" apparently being defined by Martinez to mean agreement with his failed bill for amnesty. But Martinez's ham-handedness does not mean that conservatives should be happy with the candidates' debate. They are accusing each other of flip-flopping: They have flip-flopped, and good for them.
