Aug. 27--South Iredell High continued its rise in local football prominence by becoming the first Lake Norman-area team to start 2-0 this season.

Senior running back Anthony Thwaites pushed his season rushing yards to more than 400 yards in helping the Vikings to a 34-21 victory over Lake Norman on Friday.
