Aug. 26--WINTER HAVEN

Choosing a convenient and safe location to build a new school has always been a carefully orchestrated process for parents and planners alike.

Since the discovery of two unexploded World War II bombs this summer at Odyssey Middle School in southeast Orange County, even more emphasis has been added to choosing sites.

Three properties are being considered for a new elementary school in northeast Winter Haven, what residents commonly call the Old Lucerne Park Road area.

Construction is expected to begin in fall 2008, and when complete in 2010, the school is intended to serve 825 students.…
