Aug. 26--Huntersville police Lt. Barry Graham has a plan for controlling congestion for the start of school this week: "What we're trying to do is send everybody out of town," he said.
And if that doesn't work, between 15 and 18 Huntersville police officers will be out this week making sure traffic flows smoothly at the schools. Officers from other departments and private security officers will be doing the same thing across the area.
The end of summer vacation on Monday is a big deal in Lake Norman, even for people who don't have school-age children, because it means a return of school traffic in the mornings and afternoons.…
