Aug. 21--An award-winning Virginia Union University professor, who charged the college with religious discrimination last year, has filed a $5 million lawsuit against the historically black institution.

Gwendolyn V. Andrews, who won the support of the Richmond branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People when she made her charges, has said her troubles began when she protested a university decision not to permit students to address faculty members as "reverend." Andrews holds a master of divinity degree.
