Aug. 19--Last year, Pumpkin Center Middle used eight mobile units to house its booming student population.
This year, the middle school, known now as North Lincoln, is moving to a new building with plenty of space.
Pumpkin Center Middle used to share a building with Pumpkin Center Elementary. The elementary school now has the entire building and has been split into primary and intermediate schools.
The new arrangement should eliminate the need for mobile classrooms, said Rhonda Hager, principal of North Lincoln Middle. While the mobiles kept up with the student population, she said, spaces like the bathrooms and cafeteria…
