Aug. 18--IN MY OPINION Ardrey Kell won only one game last season. The Knights gave up an average of almost 45 points a game and scored fewer than seven. They had no seniors, no history and no idea what to expect. There's only one advantage to being new, and that's the lack of alumni. No old guy could call the school and say, "In our day, we did it like this."
The absence of alumni is an advantage Mallard Creek will have to appreciate. The Mavericks, whose student body includes no seniors, played the first football game in school history Friday, and they played it at one-year-old Ardrey Kell.
