If you're wondering where you can see 6500 hot rods and classics, head to Columbus, Ohio, for the Goodguys Nationals show in mid-July. This year, cars were stacked atop each other-if you thought you'd seen them all, you'd come across another stretch of asphalt holding hundreds more.
There are many reasons to enjoy this show. The cars are an obvious one, but so, too, are the people. Our car club (Motor City Hot Rods) set up camp and spent two days hanging with thousands who share our passion.
When we had enough, we headed in for a nightcap . . . or six. This year a group of us were sitting around a big table, and who walks in but the famous-a huge understatement at this show-Chip Foose. This guy could be called Ambassador Foose of our lifestyle.
