Aug. 13--WEST POINT -- Sometimes the lawns get a little long at West Point Elementary School.
That's because with only 140 students, the school is too small to support a full-time groundskeeper. And even the janitor who cleans the classrooms, office and multi-purpose room is only part time.
"She can get to the school stuff, the lunch room and emptying the garbage cans and vacuuming, but it is real hard for her to get to any ground stuff at all," said Tim Garrison, a teacher at the school for half of each day and the school's principal for the other half.
