When Delaware North Cos. Inc., the Buffalo-based food service giant, bites off a big chunk of new business, others share in the feast.

A multimillion-dollar contract for Delaware North can raise the fortunes for many of its local and national suppliers.

This includes big names such as Rich Products Corp., the $990 million Buffalo frozen-food manufacturer, and lesser-known vendors, such as Depew Milk Co. Inc., which has less than $5 million in sales.

Depew Milk, a Lancaster-based distributor of Sealtest Dairy products founded in 1915, supplies products such as milk, frozen yogurt, specialty ice cream, cheese and creamer to about 300 customers in a nine-county area of Western New York.
