AstralTech expands manufacturing line. (AstralTech Americas Inc.)
Boca Raton - AstralTech Americas Inc., a company that produces CD-ROMs, compact disks, videos and audio cassettes, will be adding a sixth CD manufacturing line.
The company said this latest expansion should enable it to make 30 million CDs in 1995.
This is the fourth expansion for the company. Last year, AstralTech more than doubled its CD duplication capacity from 12 million to 22 million.
Michael Ostroff, vice president and chief operating officer of AstralTech, would not discuss current dollar figures, but said "we are right on target with expectations to surpass our targets during this fiscal year."
