Aug. 7--Hamilton County Board of Education members want to see for themselves the state of several school buildings considered for replacement, and they want to know what happens if they do not concur with the County Commission's plans.

At a facilities committee meeting Monday afternoon, school board members agreed to take a field trip to several schools that were listed on a long-range plan detailing facilities needs.

Commissioners approved a 26 cent tax increase in Jul and said part of it would go to fund construction of replacements for East Ridge Elementary and Red Bank Middle. County Mayor Claude Ramsey named those two schools…
