Aug. 7--A tiny scrap of paper is wedged between the keys of Deputy Paul Gatewood's laptop.
"Be kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is facing some kind of battle," the scribble says.
Apollo High School's new resource officer said he is hoping to use that message to better relate to the students who will meet the Daviess County Sheriff's Department chaplain for the first time Wednesday.
