So what's the damage?
In Sheffield, both HMV and Virgin Retail's outlets in the Meadowhalls Centre have been flooded, as has HMV's Rotherham branch. "A huge amount of stock, fixtures and fittings have been affected," an HMV spokesman says. A Virgin spokesman adds that Virgin hopes to have its Meadowhalls outlet repaired and re-opened "no later than August 18".
