BEIJING, Aug 1 Asia Pulse - China's urban sewage disposal rate will reach not less than 70 per cent by 2010, said Qiu Baoxing, vice-minister of construction.
According to a working target of reducing pollutant discharge drafted by the Ministry of Construction for the 11th Five-Year Plan period (2006-2010), cities and towns are required to make plans and construct central sewage disposal facilities in the period. Cities in the country will increase sewage disposal capacity by 45 million tons by 2010.
