Jul. 31--WAUKESHA -- Possible student shuffling on the School District's east side has spurred parents to protest a proposal to close Pleasant Hill Elementary School, highlighting difficulties facing the School Board in coming months.
As word spread of recent recommendations by the district's Enrollment Management Committee, several parents from Heyer Elementary School came out against an option that would close Pleasant Hill and send 55 Heyer students to Randall Elementary School. Other schools affected by Pleasant Hill's closing, under the committee's plan, would include Hillcrest and Hadfield.
