Jul. 28--A woman died and a man was injured on Interstate 405 on Friday night when they lost control of their motorcycle and slid into a guardrail near Kirkland, the State Patrol reported.

Troopers received several reports of a male motorcyclist with a female passenger traveling erratically on the freeway near Kirkland before the 7:40 p.m. crash, Trooper Jeff Merrill said. The driver was speeding and making quick lane changes before losing control of the motorcycle just south of Northeast 116th Street.
