Jul. 20--Parents of children at magnet progams in elementary, middle and high schools are still waiting for a decision on the status of those programs.

The final vote has not yet been scheduled on the magnet status of Root, Lincoln Heights, Olds and Wake Forest elementary schools; Zebulon, Daniels and East Millbrook middle schools and Broughton High School.

School board Chairwoman Rosa Gill said the board will resume magnet discussions in August.

Many say they hope the delay means the board is reconsidering its decisions.
