Jul. 19--The mascot's been chosen. The PTA is already in place. And nearly every staffer has been hired.
So the only thing teachers and parents of the new Elon Park Elementary School are waiting on is access to the building that will house their new school.
Things are moving right along for the Aug. 27 school opening of Elon Park, thanks to a lot of early starts, said Principal Steve Drye.
Drye, former principal at Steele Creek Elementary, was named to the new job in January.
