Getting an Urge?
Word out of the United Kingdom is that Nissan is working with engineering partners there to develop a small sports car based on the Urge concept vehicle shown at the 2006 Detroit auto show.
Designed at Nissan's styling house in Southern California, the Urge could arrive by 2009 if Nissan approves the car soon. Although it likely would ride on a modified Sentra front-drive platform, test mules spotted have been cobbled together on rear-drive 350Z chassis.
The Urge concept was a bare-bones "motorcycle- inspired'' car with scissors-style doors. The concept had a front-engine, rear-drive layout.
