Jul. 18--MAIDEN -- In a perfect world they would all become Maiden Blue Devils.
They'd wear the helmet, the pads, the cleats, the bright blue of "the biggest little football town in the world," running onto the field to the roar of the crowd.
Of course, all 74 boys at Maiden High School's first football camp for rising third- through seventh-graders won't play for local coaching legend Tom Brown, who fully expects to be shepherding the Blue Devils when these guys are seniors.
But for three days last week, they played like it.
