Jul. 14--Dr. Paul David Smith will be executive principal of Howard School for Academics and Technology next year, and Wendy Jung will be associate principal, Hamilton County Schools Superintendent Jim Scales announced on Friday.

Dr. Smith was assistant principal at Orchard Knob Middle last year and before that taught at Tyner Academy for eight years. He replaces Dr. Elaine Swafford, who was promoted to area superintendent in July.

Ms. Jung was principal at Chattanooga Middle Museum Magnet last year and East Lake Academy the year before. She takes the place of Dr. Ava Warren, who was promoted to assistant superintendent of…
